Keith Haslam, Managing Director

Keith has been Managing Director of Braemar Golf since 2003. Under his leadership he has seen the company grow and develop into one of the leading golf management and advisory firms.

Keith started his career in Golf at the world famous Gleneagles Resort, now the venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup, as part of a pioneering golf management training programme developed by Gleneagles Golf Developments. After rising through the ranks, Keith took up a role with Gleneagles Golf Developments. This took Keith to work on such high profile projects as Fancourt (South Africa), Riffa Golf Club (Bahrain), Penina (Portugal), Powersourt (Ireland) along with development projects in Cuba, the US and Cyprus.

Keith was then part of a team headhunted by the Murray International Holdings Group to create a new sports and leisure management and marketing company. During this time Keith was the lead golf consultant for Aphrodite Hills Golf in Cyprus and the business strategy he created led to one of the most successful European golf resort courses of recent times.

Keith then returned to familiar ground, heading up PGA Golf Management, a new management venture between Braemar Golf Developments (formerly Gleneagles Golf Developments) and the PGA, which led to the creation of numerous PGA branded properties, golf academies and projects in Croatia, France, Bulgaria, Cyprus, China and the notable project of creating and delivering tuition for the St Andrews Links Golf Academy in the home of golf.

It was this move to St Andrews which brought the Braemar Golf brand back into focus and has gone from strength to strength. Keith diversified the company into construction and construction management with notable courses being the Royal Golf Club in Bahrain and Thracian Cliffs in Bulgaria, as well as starting to create a name for themselves as an advisory company as well as bespoke management.

Out of work Keith enjoys a game of golf and still maintains a reasonable handicap of 5 (occasionally!) as well as spending time with his family.
